Pacific University Open Mic — “Sexual Healing”
A poem I did for open mic at Pacific University. The poem is about culture’s view of sex, and how that view has really not made us any better off. Depression is rising, and yet pleasure is more at our fingertips than ever, showing its inability to satisfy us the way we were meant to be satisfied. Sex is good, in it’s proper context. Also forgiveness and mercy are given freely my Jesus, and not only that but also practical and experiential healing and cleansing. God has given you the gift to reach the young people of the world. I am going to show this to my oldest 3 grandchildren reaching their adolescent years. I only wish I would have understood this when I was younger. May God continue to work in you so that you can reach all the precious children of the world. I am a 48 year old grandmother that is just now understanding the word in it’s true light.
@CornelloMitchell It wouldn’t let me post where u actually posted ur question. But God does not give you those desires. Just like God does not cause lust between a man and a woman. I’m not looking down on you because I had issues with lust before and even after I was saved. But as a follower of Christ I believe those desires come from Satan and you can choose to give in or you can choose to resist. No hatred. Jesus loves you whether you love Him or not.

You seriously have such a gift! Once again, thank you for such amazing words! I really wish more guys would think like you do, it’s so hard to find someone willing to commit themselves on the level you have. God meant sex for marriage, it means nothing if its just given to anyone. What ever girl gets you is very lucky.

Some people just don’t understand the true meaning of sexual desires. Yes, it is human nature. God intended for it to be that way, but He doesn’t want us to be deceived by it. He wants us to have self-control. The majority of this poem is preventing ourselves from unnecessary heartbreak. This man is simply speaking the TRUTH. Besides, you can’t argue with the Bible (:

im just throwing this out there…i know you didnt mean offense to it, but when you said “i didnt have a baby, thankfully”. kinda rude. haha. dont get me wrong, i love this video and everything it entails! but i was once that girl “playing christian”, and DID end up pregnant. the thought of abortion crossed my mind, seeing as i could never raise a baby when i was only 18. god whispered to me “give this baby a chance”. and i listened. to this day, i have the most wonderful 2-year old daughter!
